On Friday, Cobourg Collegiate Institute’s Environmental Club is hosting its annual Electronic Waste Collection from 3- 7 pm at the school’s west parking lot, 335 King St. East in Cobourg.
Acceptable items include unwanted computers, cell phones, audiovisual equipment, printers, used batteries, and other electronics.
Environmental Club member Emma Zoldy reported that it has been very successful in the past and a great opportunity for people to spring clean.
“It’s a win-win situation getting rid of broken and old electronics while supporting the environment,” said Zoldy. “We want to thank the community for coming out every year and supporting our efforts.”
The club also confirmed that used clothing will be collected in support of Cerebral Palsy.
