Six years ago at the age of twelve Graham Beer, Host and Executive Producer of Cobourg Media, founded Cobourg News with his memorable “falling tree branch” report. Since then, thousands of videos, community members and stories have been captured and shared across digital platforms.

Cobourg Media’s special compilation documentary “Cobourg Media: Our Story” looks back on six years of service, coverage, and community outreach. The documentary will include Graham’s in-depth perspective on everything from growing his business to reporting historic events at Vimy Ridge. Viewers, clients, and supporters will also share testimonials and stories from working with Cobourg Media on a variety of initiatives. Plus, the Cobourg Media production crew will comment on the behind the scenes workings and how the team came together.

“From sparking a conversation, sharing a powerful story or making our town more aware of an issue, Cobourg Media has become a trusted media outlet for  sharing local news and content. It has been an honour to grow Cobourg Media for what people know it today” said Graham Beer, Host and Executive Producer of Cobourg Media.

“Our community is more engaged and more informed because of Cobourg Media. You couldn’t read the news or scroll through Facebook without seeing Graham holding a microphone interviewing community members” said Nicole Beatty, Community Advocate & Chief Community Builder.

“I would like to congratulate Cobourg Media for all their contributions to the Town of Cobourg over the past 6 years. They have grown immensely and it has been to our benefit” said Cobourg Mayor Gil Brocanier.

Graham added: “We have accomplished so much to strengthen our community. I am proud and grateful for the many experiences and people who have allowed me to pursue my dream. I invite you to tune in to our special. It is remarkable to see all that has happened in our community for the past 6 years.”

This fall, Graham will study Media Production at the RTA School of Media at Ryerson University.  Watch the documentary on Sunday, September 16, 2018, on the Cobourg Media Facebook Page or at www.cobourgmedia.ca/ourstory
