Next Wednesday, April 18 at 12 noon, newly elected Progressive Conservative Leader Doug Ford will make a stop at the Cobourg Community Centre.
Ford will join Northumberland-Peterborough South PC candidate David Piccini for a meet and greet.
Although he held a rally supporting Christine Elliott in March, Piccini said the party is now unified with the goal to defeat the Liberal Party.
Piccini said he is impressed with the number of events Ford is attending across the province and how Ford is great at interacting with the crowd.
“I am so excited to host Doug Ford right here in Northumberland-Peterborough South.”
It is the first time Ford has come to Cobourg in his role as PC leader.
Thus far, Ford has drawn crowds and Piccini expects the same in Cobourg.
Piccini is up against Liberal incumbent for Northumberland-Quinte West Lou Rinaldi along with NDP candidate Jana Papuckoski, Green Party candidate Jeff Wheeldon, Trillium Party candidate Derek Sharp, and Ontario Libertarian candidate John O’Keefe.
Cobourg Media will have live coverage from the event starting at 12 pm on April 18.
