On Monday night, Patrick Brown, the leader of the Ontario Progressive Conservative Party stopped by Port Hope High School to deliver a speech to the crowd.
Brown was introduced by Northumberland-Peterborough South MP candidate David Piccini. Brown talked specifically about his recent announcement of his new slogan of “People’s Guarantee”.
People’s Guarantee is Brown’s and the Ontario PC candidates commitment to their 5 main campaign promises.
Earlier this week, Brown and his constituents signed on to People’s Guarantee and made a promise to leave office after only one term, if any of his commitments are not filled. Following the speech, Brown answered many questions from citizens on various topics, including taxes, where Brown has promised to make cuts focused on helping the middle class, and small businesses. Brown also answered questions on Ontario Hydro, and how his administration would assist students.
As well as promoting his Candidacy, Brown also made comments on how he believes the current Liberal Provincial government has failed Ontario during the Wynne Administration. The provincial election is set for June 7th, 2018.
