Smash Wrestling, as seen on the Fight Network will be coming to Cobourg at the Cobourg Community Centre on November 10th, 2017 at 7:30 pm. All the proceeds from the event will be raised for Fighting the Truth, a not for profit organization that raises awareness for issues of depression, alcohol abuse, substance abuse and sexual abuse in hockey.

Fighting The Truth is a non-profit organization that was started by two hockey referees as a way to raise awareness of mental illness in sports. They educate about issues such as depression, alcohol and substance abuse, and sexual abuse in sports, as well as helping those with mental illness get the help they need quickly. When called upon, FTT starts to work trying to get a direct link to a psychotherapist, often bypassing the referral process to get people a contact with a psychotherapist who can get them in for an appointment within a month.

Smash Wrestling will feature 5 matches including a tag team match and a women’s bout. Some of the announced competitors are The “Smash Wrestling Champion” Tyson Dux, “Impact Wrestling’s” Idris Abraham, “Port Hope’s” Vaughn Vertigo, “The Endorsement” Sebastian Suave, “The Bubblegum Princess” Alexia Nicole and much more!

Tickets are available at Zap Records or online at sharpevents.tickit.ca for $15 each or a Family Pack of 4 can be purchased for $50. Doors open at 6:30pm and the action gets underway at 7:30pm.
