The Cobourg Police Service with the Assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police, Cobourg Fire Department and Canada Coast guard are conducting a search of the Cobourg beach at Victoria Park for a person last seen in the water.
This person is described as a young male, light skin possibly 8 to 12 years old possibly wearing red swim goggles. The young male was seen at approximately 3:36 PM possibly in the water. The Cobourg Police Service has not received any further information about a missing person and at this point it is uncertain if he is actually missing.
Volunteers were seen searching with lifeguards in the water for over an hour until Police and Coast Gaurd Services took over. If anyone was in the area or are aware of anyone with that description please contact the Cobourg Police Service at 905-372-6821.
