On March 17, 2017 the Cobourg Police attended an establishment in the east end of Cobourg conducting checks under the Liquor Licence Act. Once inside the establishment Police recognized a male who they believed was currently bound by a court order not to consume alcohol. The male was standing drinking alcohol. Police confirmed that the male in fact was on conditions not to consume alcohol and approached him. When Police asked the male his name he provided a fake name and after further investigation it was confirmed he was in fact who Police believed him to be. Joel BEMMA was arrest and was transported to the Cobourg Police Station where he was charged with failing to comply with undertaking X 2 and Obstruct police. The male was held for a bail hearing in the morning.
